Professor Ishida and Associate Professor Kitagawa served on the organizing committee, and three first-year master’s students contributed as on-site staff. Over the two days, we fully immersed ourselves in the latest developments in superconductivity.
The venue was the Musubiwaza-kan of Kyoto Sangyo University, located near Tambaguchi Station and close to Kyoto Station. It was a quiet, clean, and excellent venue for the workshop. The poster session was lively and well-attended, with four members from the Quantum Materials Group presenting their research. The workshop dinner was held at a traditional bathhouse-restaurant in Shimabara, offering a glimpse into Kyoto’s rich history. After the workshop, we visited a unique shaved ice shop nearby. I ordered the Spicy Strawberry flavor—an incredibly complex and unfamiliar taste experience unlike any shaved ice I’ve had before.
