(B01) Novel Edge Phenomena in Spin-Triplet Superfluids

RESEARCH

I have investigated non-uniform superconducting states. An example of such non-uniform states is the Fulde-Ferrell state, which is realized in high magnetic fields and is characterized by a finite center-of-mass momentum of the Cooper pair. When I was a graduate student, I studied the mixing effect of anisotropic order parameters in the Fulde-Ferrell state. After that, I have studied surface and impurity scattering effects in the non-uniform states. Recently, I am interested also in quantum information science.

In this project, I will investigate physics of odd-frequency Cooper pairs which appear near the surfaces of spin-triplet superfluids.
