RESEARCH

Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), which can local reveal electronic structure in atomic scales, was once one of the techniques for surface science. However, it has been developing in recent years and applied for a variety of materials in condensed matter physics, such as magnetic, superconducting, and topological materials.

In my Ph.D. course, I studied local magnetic structures of chiral magnetic structures, e.g., magnetic skyrmions and spin spirals, at interfaces between magnetic thin films and nonmagnetic substrates using STM.

Since October 2016, I have studied heavy fermion superconductor CeCoIn5 thin films grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) using the combined system of MBE and STM, in order to detect various exotic phenomena, such as Majorana fermion, predicted in CeCoIn5 thin films.

I'd like to work on research by making use of my experience of STM. Also, I'd like to contribute an international collaboration as a Topo-Q PD.
